Ok, this one is another vintage fake. We were driving by a garage sale when I took this shot. My mom drove the same thing when she was younger, so it caught my eye.

Taken inside of the old Churchills food storage plant by the Erie Street market. You can see downtown though the windows on the second and third floors, and it’s an amazing view! Click the picture to see photos from inside the old warehouse, and check out our other cool finds!

Siegles on Bancroft

This once family run deli in Toledo now represents what happened to most of the great stores that made up downtown. It sits empty, for sale, down the street from foreclosed homes, burnt buildings, and obvious illegal activity occurs every night. While there’s not much hope for the future of this place, it does make for an interesting point in time for photography, much like the people photographing urban Detroit.

So in my love of all things vintage, I was amazed to find this perfect retro kitchen at an estate sale in Toledo this week. Ohio is home to lots of great mid-century design, so keep a look out for other great finds like this!

It’s the new concert stage at Centennial Terrace aka The Quarry. The newly remodeled venue holds thousands of people, and has instantly become the best place in the area to see a big show. Just clouds, floating by the old abandoned Toledo Edison plant, off front street. Always a great place to stop and shoot.

Neon in the Night

It may not look like much during the day, but this store on the Anthony Wayne Trail has great vintage neon lit up at night. Captured on one of the rare occasions that all the lights were working.
