Ok, this one is another vintage fake. We were driving by a garage sale when I took this shot. My mom drove the same thing when she was younger, so it caught my eye.
Double window view of the city
•August 22, 2009 • Leave a CommentTaken inside of the old Churchills food storage plant by the Erie Street market. You can see downtown though the windows on the second and third floors, and it’s an amazing view! Click the picture to see photos from inside the old warehouse, and check out our other cool finds!
Siegles on Bancroft
•August 16, 2009 • Leave a CommentThis once family run deli in Toledo now represents what happened to most of the great stores that made up downtown. It sits empty, for sale, down the street from foreclosed homes, burnt buildings, and obvious illegal activity occurs every night. While there’s not much hope for the future of this place, it does make for an interesting point in time for photography, much like the people photographing urban Detroit.
It’s not 1971
•August 14, 2009 • Leave a CommentBut it is Toledo. This is a shot of Allison and our friend Lucian Townes, with a 1971 Buick in front of a mid-century house on Nantucket Road by the Franklin Park mall. Click the photo to see more from the shoot, and check out Lucian’s music here: http://www.myspace.com/luciantownes
Amazing kitchen at estate sale
•August 10, 2009 • Leave a CommentSo in my love of all things vintage, I was amazed to find this perfect retro kitchen at an estate sale in Toledo this week. Ohio is home to lots of great mid-century design, so keep a look out for other great finds like this!

Alice Cooper in a straight jacket
•August 4, 2009 • Leave a CommentBecause you know you still have a bit of a dark side that loves to sing ‘I’m eighteen and I don’t know what I want’, and because you secretly wish you had gone to see Alice Cooper, here’s our coverage.
Can you name that venue?
•August 4, 2009 • Leave a CommentIt’s the new concert stage at Centennial Terrace aka The Quarry. The newly remodeled venue holds thousands of people, and has instantly become the best place in the area to see a big show. This is a shot before the Alice Cooper concert on Tuesday August 2nd. Click the picture to see more photos, and stay tuned as we post a few more shots here on the site.
It’s not steam
•August 4, 2009 • Leave a CommentJust clouds, floating by the old abandoned Toledo Edison plant, off front street. Always a great place to stop and shoot.
Neon in the Night
•August 4, 2009 • Leave a CommentIt may not look like much during the day, but this store on the Anthony Wayne Trail has great vintage neon lit up at night. Captured on one of the rare occasions that all the lights were working.
